- Our collection
of ex-military and civilian aircraft are unique because many
of them still fly. Effectively an operational base, public can
view aircraft such as Hunters, MIG17, Vampire, Jet Provost, BAC-111,
Buccaneer and the worlds last flying sea Vixen. Also on
display is a romantic 1934 Dragon Rapide. Recent additions to
the Museum include a stunning Sea Fury and Lightning cockpit.

- The Castle destroyed
by Cromwell's men in 1646, together with the church and surrounding
village, has been reconstructed in Purbeck stone to 1/20th scale.
It is set in a stunning old English garden, with an Enchanted
Woodland Walk. Working stocks and pillory are a feature. Enjoy
morning coffee, light lunch or Dorset cream teas in the peaceful
atmosphere of the Courtyard Cafe.

- Come and visit
the famous castle built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594, Sherborne
Castle has been the home of the Digby family since 1617. Prince
William of Orange was entertained here in 1688, and George III
visited in 1789. Splendid collections of art, furniture and porcelain
are on view in the Castle. Lancelot 'Capability Brown' created
the lake in 1753 and gave Sherborne the very latest in landscape
gardening.
